Boiled eggs na kachumbari is a popular street food in Kenya. It is prepared by boiling eggs and mixing with sliced tomatoes and onions.


  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tomato
  • Chopped onions
  • Salt to taste
  • Chilies

Preparation Procedure

  1. Prepare a simple kachumbari by cutting the tomatoes and mixing them with chopped onions and chilies
  2. Boil the eggs for 15 minutes
  3. Deep them in cold water before peeling them to make the peeling easier
  4. Cut the boiled eggs into halves
  5. On each half add kachumbari and sprinkle salt
  6. Enjoy it as a snack
