Fried Plantain
Description
Fried Plantain is prepared from ripe bananas deep-fried in cooking oil. Most Kenyans take fried plantain as a snack or starch in their main meal.
Ingredients
- 2 Ripe Bananas
- 1/2 teaspoon Paprika
- Pinch of Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
Preparation Procedure
- Peel the bananas
- Cut it at an angle for them to look longer and put them in a bowl
- Place the cooking oil in a frying pan
- When the oil is hot, place the plantains one by one and cook them until they are golden brown then flip for them to cook on the other side
- Transfer them to a bowl, add paprika and cinnamon then shake them to distribute evenly
- It is ready to be taken as a snack or as an accompaniment
