Popcorn is a nutritious snack prepared by heating a type of maize (corn) called Zea mays everta until it pops. It is not only tasty but also rich in fiber.


  • Cooking oil
  • Popcorn Kernels
  • Salt

Preparation Procedure

  1. Pour cooking oil into a cooking pot and place it on medium heat
  2. Add popcorn kernels and cover
  3. When they start popping reduce the heat to low
  4. Shake the cooking pot from side to side
  5. Once the popping slows down put out the heat
  6. Transfer the popcorn to a bowl and sprinkle salt
  7. Enjoy your popcorn
