Egg curry Recipe


Egg curry is a popular Swahili dish that is prepared from boiled eggs spiced up with different ingredients. You can eat it together with rice or spaghetti. Egg curry is rich in proteins.


  • Eggs
  • Salt
  • Tomatoes
  • Onions
  • Garlic
  • Coriander
  • Bell pepper

Preparation Procedure

  1. Boil eggs in a cooking pot for 15 minutes
  2. Peel the eggs then cut them into halves and set them aside
  3. Chop Tomatoes, Onions, bell pepper, and mash the garlic separately
  4. In medium heat fry the onions and mashed garlic (add more spices of your choice)
  5. Add tomatoes and bell pepper then stir. Let the tomatoes cook until they are well mashed.
  6. Add salt and one 1 cup of water then stir
  7. Add the eggs cut into halves
  8. Let them cook for 5 minutes
  9. Sprinkle chopped coriander
  10. It's Ready to be served with rice or spaghetti
