French Fries/Chips Recipe

Description

French fries commonly known as chips in Kenya are a popular dish, especially among Kenyan teenagers. Making chips is simple since it requires few ingredients and steps of cooking. All that you need is slices of potatoes fried in cooking oil. You can spice it up with tomato sauce. Chips are a great source of starch.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes
  • Salt
  • Cooking oil

Preparation Procedure

  1. Peel the potatoes
  2. Slice them equally for them to cook evenly
  3. Wash them and sieve the water
  4. Heat cooking oil in a deep frying pan. Cooking oil is ready when you deep in a wooden spoon and bubbles are seen.
  5. Put the sliced potatoes in the cooking oil don’t overcrowd them
  6. Allow them to cook until they are a little bit crunchy
  7. Use a frying spoon to remove the chips/French fries and place them in a bowl with a paper towel to drain excess oil
  8. Sprinkle some salt
  9. They are ready to be taken with sauce and salad
