Ingredients
- 500g Rice
- 3 Potatoes
- ½ kg Meat
- Salt
- 3 Tomatoes
- 1 Green Pepper
- 2 cloves Garlic
- Ginger
- Cooking oil
- Pilau masala
Preparation Procedure
- Boil the meat until it is soft
- Peel the potatoes, wash and cut them into pieces
- Blend garlic, ginger, green pepper, and tomatoes
- In a cooking pot pour 3 tablespoons of cooking oil
- Add Onions and stir, let them cook until they are golden brown
- Add meat and mix well
- Add potatoes and mix
- Add pilau masala and salt to taste
- Add the blended mixture and a little water and stir
- Allow it to cook for 5 minutes
- Add rice and stir
- Cover with aluminum foil
- Reduce the heat and let it cook for 20 minutes
- Pilau is ready to be served with some kachumbari
