Njugu Karanga (Roasted Ground nuts) are commonly consumed in Kenya as a snack. They make a satisfying breakfast when paired with a cup of tea. You can easily find them in stores, or you can roast dry groundnuts at home. Packed with proteins and healthy fats, groundnuts are a nutritious choice for a breakfast meal.
Ingredients
- Raw groundnuts
- Salt
- Water
Preparation Procedure
- In low heat place your pan and put raw groundnuts
- Keep tossing them to allow them to cook evenly
- Mix water and salt in a small bowl and stir for it to dissolve
- Pour the mixture into the pan with groundnuts, and mix
- Let them cook for five minutes as you keep tossing them
- When they are dry transfer them into a plate
- Groundnuts are ready to be taken with tea
