Ingredients

  • Fish
  • Onion
  • Tomatoes
  • Coriander
  • Green bell pepper
  • Cooking oil

Preparation Procedure

You can either buy fried fish or fresh fish

  1. For fresh fish remove the scales properly
  2. Rub salt on the fish
  3. Heat enough cooking oil in a frying pan to deep in the fresh fish
  4. When hot put in the fish let it cook for 5 minutes and flip over to cook the other side for 5 minutes
  5. One can decide to eat fried fish with some kachumbari and ugali or make with some soup
  6. For the fish with soup, set the fried fish aside on a plate
  7. Prepare your ingredients
  8. In another frying pan pour oil
  9. Add chopped onions and stir until they are golden brown
  10. Add green bell pepper and tomatoes (add more spices of your preference) and mix well
  11. Add 1 cup of water to the mixture
  12. Put the fried fish and let it cook for 5 minutes and flip to cook for another 5 minutes
  13. Fish is ready to be served with Ugali
