Porridge (Uji wa Wimbi) Recipe
Description
Brown Porridge is prepared by mixing water and porridge flour. You one can decide to use plain finger millet (wimbi) flour or blend it with other flour such as sorghum flour. This type of porridge is great for toddlers as it is nutritious and easy for them to eat.
Ingredients
- ½ cup of finger millet (wimbi) flour
- 3 cups of Water
- 3 tablespoon Sugar
Preparation Procedure
- Mix the flour with 1 cup of water
- Stir to make a mixture
- Boil water in a cooking pot
- Add the mixture as you stir with a cooking stick to prevent lumps from forming
- Stir until the mixture thickens
- Add sugar and stir
- Reduce the heat and allow it to boil for 2 minutes
- Porridge is ready to serve
- Pour into the bowl and enjoy
