Ugali Recipe
Description
Ugali is a stable food in Kenya that is made using cooking flour (milled white maize). It's usually enjoyed with Sukuma Wiki, meat stew, traditional vegetables, fish, sour milk, and more. To make ugali, simply mix cooking flour into boiling water until it thickens and hardens.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of Water
- 4 cups of Maize flour
Preparation Procedure
- Pour the water into a cooking pot
- Let the water boil in a medium heat
- Sprinkle some flour after boiling and stir with a wooden cooking stick
- Add more flour and press the mixture to one side of the cooking pot to remove the lumps
- Turn it over using the wooden cooking stick and keep pressing
- Repeat the process of pressing and turning it over until no lump is seen
- Let it cook for 10 minutes
- Ugali is ready transfer it to a serving plate
