A tip to cooks 
Most ppl are now complaining about cost of cooking gas. Let me give you a hint to help you optimize your gas usage: 


1)Ensure you've an efficient burner ,easy to control gas emission.


2) Always set your gas to a silent blue flame. When your emission is a glowing,noisy yellow flame you're extremely wasting your gas and getting very poor quality heat .The blue silent flame is better and very economical.


3) Always plan your cooking style. Know which foods to cook together and which ones to cook seperately. Rice, for instance, doesn't need water to be boiled first before it's introduced.

      Another important tip; Always place a sufuria with water on top of anything you are cooking for some minutes. The steam will heat the water and you can use for other purposes for instance  when cooking ugali.
